Hammond Angora Goats, based in Warsash, Hampshire was established in 1987 when we bought 2 (2nd cross) Angora goats. It was a hobby started by my mother Rita and myself because I wanted something to do when my two children started school.
My husband Martin and I had decided that I would not go back to work, but stay home and be there for our children. The goats would be an interest and hobby for Mum and I, which, unbeknown to us, would end up taking over our lives and everyone around us!
Today, we have a herd of 30 goats and spend a lot of our time tending to our herd and preparing, washing and dyeing our fleece and yarn.
We attend local shows and exhibitions and have a workshop on the farm. Please contact us for lessons in spinning, weaving and dyeing.
